Job description

Chef - £14.18 p/h - Contract Catering - Work Life Balance - Near Amesbury

Our client is a global player in the contract catering industry that supplies catering and facility services to various sites throughout the UK. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef for their site near Amesbury. This company offers excellent benefits and opportunities to progress.

The successful candidate will work mainly Monday to Friday with a mix of 6am - 2:00pm or 11am-7:30pm shifts and only 1 in 3 weekends on 40hrs a week. Salary is £29,473 with overtime paid over 40 hours as per the hourly rate.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as a Chef will Include:
  1. To ensure food preparation and control meets requirements in respect to the set standards
  2. To support the manager in maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within a budget
  3. To be responsible for maintaining up-to-date product and menu knowledge
  4. To maintain a high standard of food preparation and presentation, ensuring portion and quality control
  5. To comply with health and safety and food safety legislations
What You Need To Be a Successful Chef:
  1. Previous Experience as a Chef
  2. NVQ or City & Guilds Chef qualifications are required
  3. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
The Reward/Benefits - Chef:
