Working Environment
Kenton Lodge is an independent living scheme for the over 70 and we are looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our team and support the Chef Manager. You will be using fresh ingredients and all specs and allergens reports are done for you.

Job Description
Your key responsibilities as the Sous Chef will consist of:

  1. Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times
  2. Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
  3. Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
  4. Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
  5. Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
  6. Ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and services

Working Pattern: 2 days over 7 (flexible on which 2 days worked), 16 hours per week

The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Sous Chef include:

  1. Genuine interest in customer service excellence

  3. Catering experience desirable but not essential
