The role will support the European Procurement activities, with a special focus on optimization of costs in to CAPEX related operations, including identifying opportunities of value generation through sales of sawn timber products.
This is a European role and will require a lot of travel across Europe as part of the role. Part of our Blue forest program – this role will implement new ways for the procurement team to add value whilst contributing to our sustainability and decarbonisation targets. We supply our manufacturers with material, so we’re looking for this role to increase control over our buy-to-sell process.
You’ll maintain the daily contact and overview of the network of new pallets suppliers across Europe, ensuring a thorough control of costs and compliance. The manager is expected to interact with Suppliers, driving improvement of their operations, as well as with CHEP Regional Supply Chain and Timber Sourcing teams, to guarantee the availability of stocks of finished goods, the reduction of waste (slow-rotating goods) and optimization of raw materials ordering.
