The program

With a focus on individuals, groups and communities in vulnerable situations, the Soup Patrol Program delivers a free, nutritious evening meal to people who are homeless, socially disadvantaged or on very low income. Soup Patrol operates 365 days of the year, with nightly services serving communities in Fremantle and twice weekly night services in Perth.

The opportunity

This role is best suited for someone with prior Administration / Customer Service experience. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as well as a keen eye for detail. You will work alongside staff to assist with the volunteering onboarding process as well as maintaining records for all Soup Patrol volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity to support and interact with volunteers.

Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world’s largest humanitarian network.

The impact

As a volunteer with Red Cross, you will gain valuable experience in business and administration and learn about the various services we provide across WA. Your assistance will have an impact on Red Cross volunteers, members, staff and the larger community that provide services to vulnerable people.

Application requirements

  • For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.
  • You will need to provide a recent copy of your CV or provide details for two professional references.
