Would you like to work in a friendly department in a busy acute trust, working across our UHDB sites?

If so, then please apply to become part of our Multi-disciplinary Ultrasound Team within the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB).

We would welcome candidates with a wide range of ultrasound competencies; however we would also consider applications from Sonographers with experience in only one clinical area as well as trainee Sonographers with a pending PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.

You must have a CASE accredited PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent (DMU). A current professional registration is desirable but not essential.

Applicants with a pending CASE accredited PG Cert/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound are also welcome to apply for this post.

You will have evidence of on-going CPD and learning related to your areas of ultrasound practice.

We have a wide range of ultrasound equipment within the Trust, much of which is on a rolling replacement programme. CRIS and PACS are used throughout the Trust. ViewPoint Maternity and BadgerNet are used within maternity and obstetric scan.

We have vacant positions based at both Queens Hospital Burton site and Royal Derby Hospital site, as well as, the UHDB community sites and CDCs. Depending on your competency, experience and skill mix you may have opportunity to rotate through our general, obstetric, early pregnancy, urology rooms and our community hospital departments.

You will be expected to participate in the Ultrasound extended day and weekend working.
