Description

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Solutions Engineer to join our growing team in Kings Hill. Working within a fast-paced Managed Service and projects environment, you will be experienced in working for a service provider. The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and possess an in-depth understanding and experience of infrastructure technologies for delivering IT solutions to businesses.

Key Accountabilities

1. Providing technical and project services to many different clients, delivering high quality solutions with great customer satisfaction
2. Troubleshooting and resolving system and networking problems
3. Configuring and optimising customer cloud environments, servers, networks, applications and policies
4. Identifying opportunities to improve customer IT environments
5. Adhering to change control policies and procedures
6. Working with Solutions Architect colleagues to produce standardised documentation for new and emerging technologies
7. Acting as an escalation point and mentor for junior colleagues

Skills & Experience

1. Have extensive working knowledge of Microsoft's technology products at Solutions Engineer level, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory.
2. Have deep technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Defender, Intune, SharePoint Online and Exchange Online) and Entra ID.
3. Be confident with Network technologies - Routing, Switching, Wireless and Firewalls. Experience with Cisco Meraki or Fortinet devices would be advantageous.
4. Have good experience working within an ITIL-based Managed Service environment and its core processes such as ticket management and time recording.
5. Be able to produce and maintain detailed technical documentation.
6. Have stakeholder and project management skills, with the ability to communicate technical solutions to different audiences.
7. Solid understanding and application of security controls, policies and technologies at endpoint, server and network level.
8. Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and oral.
