Job description

We are recruiting for a Solutions Architect with a software development background. They will have experience within a consultancy or similar experience as a contractor working on leading edge technologies to drive business improvement and successful growth within technical change and transformation.

Key responsibilities:

1. Collaborate and contribute insights to help organizations enhance their agility in response to dynamic market changes.
2. Contribute to impactful projects, launching award-winning Internet of Things platforms, and developing systems for tracking clinical trials.
3. Utilize your passion for leading-edge technologies to drive real-world impact.
4. Design and deliver cutting-edge business solutions from CXO level to delivery, leveraging hands-on experience.
5. Serve as a technical leader, supporting and leading FTSE 100 clients in production software development.
6. Access the latest training and certifications, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, along with extensive courses and mentoring programs available to the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proven track record in providing technical leadership across application, business, and integration architectures.
2. Comfortable across all architecture domains with specialization in at least one of the following:
1. Architecture domain
2. Business domain (e.g., CRM, eCommerce)
3. Across Sectors
4. Technologies/vendors
3. Experience in conducting solution options assessment, including product selection and analysis of patterns and sourcing approaches.
4. Ability to deliver strategic thinking to stakeholders through Architecture Roadmaps, mentoring, and technical thought leadership.
5. Proficiency in architecture modelling tools and frameworks such as UML, ArchiMate, etc.
6. Understanding of the commercial, people, and organizational aspects of architectural work.
7. Deep knowledge of technologies worked with, with exposure to emerging technologies and architectural trends including:
1. Microservices vs Packaged Solutions
2. Cloud vs On-premises
3. Digital transformation enablement
4. Cloud architectures, with experience in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
5. Familiarity with a broad span of vendors: IBM, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, etc.
6. Understanding the architect's role in agile delivery
7. Internet of Things concepts
