Job description

Solutions Architect – Digital & Data Directorate

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Solutions Architect to join a UK Police Force within the Digital & Data Directorate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional to play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing technical solutions that support law enforcement operations.


Rate: £30.40 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the technical design and architecture authority, ensuring solutions align with organisational needs.
  • Lead the design, development, and integration of applications, systems, and IT infrastructures.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to analyse requirements and implement solutions.
  • Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency across IT systems.
  • Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through the solution development lifecycle.
  • Support the evaluation and introduction of new technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and governance frameworks.
Essential Requirements:
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience in IT architecture or software development.
  • Demonstrable experience as a Solutions Architect or similar technical role for at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), and cybersecurity.
  • Experience in systems integration, requirement analysis, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Microsoft certification and/or TOGAF (desirable).
