Location: Newbury + *Hybrid
Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri

What you’ll do

• You will provide impact assessments, blueprints, roadmap, and strategy that aligns with our tech strategy and provide high level designs, and review low level designs for projects which impact or are delivered by the Data Domain.
• You will provide architectural and design guidance for the migration of non-IT owned systems and legacy Data Domain systems to Cloud based solutions, processes, data and data models that can be re-used by other markets.
• You will assist in the definition and governance of the Data Domain architecture, ensuring that it meets business requirements and performance goals, and that the technical direction is consistent with the strategy.
• You will act as a functional end to end expert for a portfolio of related applications within the Platform Engineering team.
• You will lead design reviews to ensure compliance to the target architecture throughout the development life cycle.

Who you are

• You will ideally have experience of working with different data platforms and will be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
• You will preferably have knowledge of data related platforms (EDW, Operational Data Stores, ETL/ELT/EL, Data Lake, Big Data, SAS, Finhub, Calidua, etc…).
• You will have a high-level understanding of Cloud architecture.
• You will ideally have experience in database design and data modelling.
• You will have an understanding of data security, governance and data migration.
• You will have a passion for Solution Architecture and want to strive to improve our ways of working.
