We're on the lookout for a dedicated Solution Architect to join our Major Programs team within the CIO directorate. If you're ready to take on high-impact projects and shape the future of our tech landscape, we'd love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will be creating design artefacts on time and within budget, handling impact assessments for changes and new demands; this could include Architecture Steers, Technical Assessments, and sometimes HLD documentation.

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, you'll make sure solutions align with CIO strategies and our ESA framework. You'll also build a deep understanding of the technical products, applications, and platforms that support the business.

Your goal? Propose solutions that not only meet technical standards but also deliver a phenomenal customer experience. Ensuring work is timely, within cost, and meets both functional and non-functional requirements is key.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:

• Previous proven experience in a similar Solution Architect role where you have been working on multiple programs in a sophisticated technical environment
• Strong stakeholder management experience, where you can demonstrate the ability to influence and challenge
• Hands-on experience with high-pressure, long-term (3-5 years) delivery projects or programs, keeping things on track even in demanding environments
• Demonstrable evidence of problem solving abilities, thinking out the box and being able to find creative solutions
• Experience of working with various delivery methodologies, Agile, Waterfall, SaFE etc.

The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring:

• Up-to-date with industry trends, research, and developments in Architecture and Solution Design, especially in the Telecoms world
• Confidence in making independent decisions and taking the lead on big enterprise-level projects and products with little to no guidance
• TOGAF/ITIL certified
