The role

This role will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure comprehensive application solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives. You will drive and promote architectural principles, policies, and standards across both technology and the business. As the Solution Architect, you will ensure the company Blueprint is kept up to date and to the standards set.

Reporting into the Enterprise Architect, this role will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet both current and future needs.

The person

We are seeking an experienced Application Solution Architect with a deep understanding and extensive experience in designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions that align with our company’s strategic objectives. This role demands strong technical expertise in architectural frameworks and best practices, along with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience as an Application Solution Architect, focusing on application development and integration. Hands-on experience with industry-standard architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices is essential. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will provide a strategic view across all architectural domains, portfolios, and programs. Experience with the Bizzdesign Enterprise Studio and Horizzon toolset would be advantageous but is not essential.

As a Solution Architect, you will be an effective communicator, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels across the organization. You will demonstrate technical expertise and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. This includes identifying potential architectural risks and articulating innovative mitigations. You will be flexible and resilient, able to adapt to changing circumstances while achieving agreed deliverables. The successful candidate will be eager to introduce new ideas and ways of working to help develop best practices within the Enterprise Architecture and Data Governance team.

Our values of integrity, community, and alignment are the guiding principles that influence our behavior. They help us make decisions and shape our relationships with others. They’re what we stand for. You will actively demonstrate our values, helping to create a safe environment, to place the needs of the community above oneself and, through a culture of ‘fair challenge’, align to the best interests of our members.
