Site Manager

We are looking for a proven results-driven site manager to join our organisation. In this position the successful candidate will be expected to oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of Solar PV and LED System installations. They ensure that the project is executed efficiently, adhering to all technical, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. This role involves coordinating teams, managing schedules, and ensuring the quality of project from start to finish.

Job Role:

  1. Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
  2. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  3. Implement and enforce health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  4. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement solutions to keep the project on schedule.
  5. Coordinate with the project team, including design, engineers, and clients, to ensure specifications and requirements are met.
  6. Oversee quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and construction.
  7. Manage site documentation, including permits, drawings, and project schedules.
  8. Prepare regular progress reports and attend meetings with senior management to provide updates on project status.
  9. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards.
  10. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications:

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent
  • First Aid Training: A valid First Aid certificate, particularly Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or First Aid at Work (FAW)
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) Card

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project Management experience
  • Solar PV Experience
  • Electrical Experience
