Job Details:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed functional test specifications for both device and system tests.
2. Use industry standard test tools to develop manual and automated tests in a variety of programming languages.
3. Conduct subsystem, system, and user level testing.
4. Conduct end-to-end testing.
5. Document test results and share findings with development teams and project stakeholders.
6. Liaise with Engineering departments and customers regarding testing of projects.
7. Conduct tests both in-house and in the presence of the customer.
8. Prepare and conduct in-house reliability tests.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

1. Solid previous experience within a Product test or QA environment.
2. Experience of manual and exploratory testing.
3. Experience of building and executing test cases and plans.
4. Experience using TestRail and Jira.
5. Experience of testing methods, including test-driven development and automated testing.
6. Experience of each stage of the Software Development Life Cycle.
7. Relevant industry/product knowledge.
8. Experience of either London Transport or automotive industry testing.
9. Knowledge of Serial and TCP/IP communication protocols and configuration.
10. Participate in interviews for recruitment.
11. Working knowledge of SQL, Basic UNIX, and Confluence.
12. Use of Project Planning Tools.
13. Awareness of Smart/Payment Card technology and public key encryption technologies.

Education and Qualifications:

1. HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline OR relevant industry experience.
2. ISTQB Foundation.
3. Degree / MSC in Engineering Discipline.
