What you'll do:
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the performance and effectiveness of our client's engineering teams. Your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing a team of engineers working on core products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions in a cloud-based AWS environment. You will set high standards for engineering practices while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role is hands-off on coding but focuses on people management, coaching, and ensuring adherence to good engineering standards.

1. Develop and mentor engineers, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and support needed to excel in their roles.
2. Set and maintain high engineering standards, focusing on clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
3. Drive the adoption of best practices in software engineering, including DevOps and CI/CD practices.
4. Facilitate agile processes to maximise team productivity and foster collaboration.
5. Engage with stakeholders to align engineering outputs with business goals.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovations to optimise team performance.
7. Ensure the engineering team is fully supported in a .NET and AWS cloud environment, leveraging modern tools and techniques.
