Company Overview:

Our client is a prominent global asset management firm, specialising in absolute return and hedge fund strategies. The firm manages assets on behalf of a diverse range of institutional investors, including pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, government agencies, private banks, and fund of funds.

The Department:

The engineering team, part of the systematic technology group, designs and evolves systems to support the quantitative investment process. They collaborate with business stakeholders, compliance, and risk management in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in building scalable, broker-neutral trading systems across multiple asset classes, with a strong understanding of market data, broker/exchange protocols, and pricing engines.

Requirements:

  1. 2-5 years of professional Java programming experience
  2. Broad knowledge & experience of building reliable, performant, highly distributed, and scalable real-time trading systems along with real-time market data processing.
  3. Extensive experience designing and building order and execution management systems.
  4. Experience with asynchronous messaging, network/transport protocols, multithreading, performant data structures.
  5. Experience with Agile & TDD methodologies and a strong philosophy around automated test coverage.
  6. Experience with CI/CD methodologies (Git, Gradle, Jenkins, etc.) and container-based packaging & deployment.
  7. Knowledge of financial markets.
  8. BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
