We are looking to hire a Software Engineer in our Edinburgh hub who will be responsible for the design, implementation and integration of new and existing software features involving more complex application components and code.

What You'll Do

1. You'll be involved in defining, testing, delivering and supporting features from start to finish within a team of peers.
2. Collaborate with team members to implement new features and improve existing ones.
3. Cross-collaborate with other engineering teams across the globe, UX designers, Product Managers, and Architecture.
4. Strive to understand customer scenarios and use technical solutions to deliver innovative products.
5. Identify technical considerations for new product releases.
6. Communicate effectively across departments and global teams.
7. Research and present various approaches to solve technical problems.

What You'll Bring

1. Experience with any general-purpose programming language (C, C++, C#, Java, Python etc.) and understanding of object oriented or functional programming.
2. Knowledgeable of Web services development (REST, GraphQL).
3. Experience with Agile and with Source Control tools (Git).
4. Experience in developing clean, maintainable code and follow commonly used best practices, in Software Design, Test Automation and in Product Design.
5. While not a requirement, experience of using Golang (GO), and with Typescript, Groovy, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Helm, AWS, Docker, would be advantageous.
6. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
7. Interest in cloud technologies and deployment patterns.
8. Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
9. Can-do attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
10. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
