Software Developer with C# Dot Net, ASP.NET, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS

Our Client is a bank based in Central London looking to recruit a Software Developer with at least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer, specializing in C# Dot Net and SQL Server with SSIS.

You must have solid expertise of at least 7 years’ experience in developing software with C# Dot Net, MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS – SSIS is very important for this position.

Must be an excellent problem solver and adept at writing documentation for all projects.

You ideally have experience working on banking systems, particularly Core Banking.

Responsibilities

1. Development and delivery of new systems to automate and streamline processes required by different departments.
2. Support the internal IT department with changes and upgrades to software platforms.
3. Act as the primary contact for all technical questions related to in-house bespoke systems and interfacing.
4. Analyze issues pertaining to problems or errors raised by in-house systems, i.e., CORE, SharePoint interface, Equation, Kondor, Eximbills, end of day cycle.

Support

1. Support budgeting and financial planning processes for the Finance department, including loading and refreshing of data based on requirements.
2. Understand and conduct the front-end functionality to amend and change hierarchical structures within the environment.
3. Build data flows within the SQL environment in SSIS and SSAS packages.
4. Integrate the SharePoint environment and Forms with the Equation system to introduce automation of processes, eliminating the need for duplicate entry.
5. Utilize web services to integrate cutting-edge technology into legacy systems such as Equation.
6. Integrate with all systems using data abstraction and connectivity layers, i.e., ODBC, ADO.NET.

Duties

1. Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements including the Bank’s Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and adhere to these to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk.
2. Report policy/procedure breaches and areas of potential non-compliance promptly upon identification in accordance with the Bank's Risk and Compliance policies.
3. Accurately execute all controls within your area to minimize the risk of policy, procedure, and/or regulatory breaches.
4. Identify new risks/control gaps within your area and escalate accordingly to your Line Manager.

Must Have Skills

1. Software analysis and design.
2. SQL Server query language with SSIS.
3. Data warehouse design concepts (Inmon or Kimball).
4. Experience developing software with C# Dot Net, ASP.NET, and SQL Server is a must.
5. Solid experience working with SSIS and building data warehouses.
6. A degree qualification.

This is a 12-month FTC position with a salary of circa £60K - £70K.

This is a hybrid position - you will be required to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
