Job description

Fully remote system-level C programming with flexible hours

Are you looking for a software role with real impact? Do you have top-notch skills with C? Have you got a track record of Open Source contributions? If you answered 'yes' to these questions, then this is the role for you.

This team of global experts works on key software products that have become ubiquitous parts of modern computing, such as web browser rendering engines, a/v frameworks, and OS kernels. Their contributions are all Open Source, and they work closely with project maintainers to ensure their work is integrated upstream and benefits all. Alongside general computing, they also work in more specialized areas such as mobile handsets, aerospace, and automotive.

Role Responsibilities:
This is a consultancy role, so visiting clients to discuss technical matters, analyzing issues, and architecting solutions are all key aspects of this role. You may also be asked to represent the company at conferences or trade shows. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Requirements:

  1. Significant experience with production-ready, low-level software development.
  2. Excellent skills with C. Additional knowledge of Rust would be beneficial but is not necessary.
  3. Knowledge of Open Source development processes and experience of contributing to Open Source projects.

This is a fully remote role and comes with flexible working hours. However, you still need full rights to work in the UK without limitation to be considered. This company will not sponsor.

Please apply (quoting ref: CV27253) only if you are eligible to live and work in the UK. By submitting your details, you certify that the information you provide is accurate.
