An exciting opportunity has hit the market with a specialist in Traffic management solutions. We are currently hiring for a Software Developer to join a talented engineering team based in Kent.

The successful Software Developer in Kent will report directly to the Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in designing and developing cutting-edge applications used across high-profile surveillance and traffic systems worldwide.

Main Responsibilities of the Software Developer, based in Kent:

1. Develop intuitive and responsive web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, React.Js, and TypeScript
2. Design and implement REST APIs and GraphQL integrations
3. Conduct automated testing using Selenium
4. Manage cloud deployments on AWS and Azure platforms
5. Use Git (BitBucket) for version control, ideally in a Linux environment
6. Collaborate closely with the back-end development team to integrate front-end components with robust back-end systems

Technical Skillset Required for the Software Developer based in Kent:

1. Front-End: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, React.Js, TypeScript.
2. Back-End: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Spring Data.
3. Databases: SQL and NoSQL.
4. Message Queues: RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis.
5. Testing: JUnit, Mockito, JaCoCo.
6. Tools & Platforms: Selenium, AWS, Azure, Linux, Git (BitBucket).
7. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
