Job description

Our client is a dynamic and growing eCommerce business that operates predominantly online, offering a diverse range of products to a broad customer base. With a strong focus on digital innovation, customer experience, and market expansion, the company is seeking a skilled Software Developer to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain e-commerce websites, ensuring high-quality production-ready code.
2. Work on both frontend and full-stack development tasks as required.
3. Utilise Magento 2 and Hyva to build and enhance online platforms.
4. Collaborate with the team to implement new technologies and frameworks.
5. Ensure best practices in coding, architecture, and system integration.

Tech Stack:

1. Magento 2 website hosted on Sonassi MageStack.
2. Development on Ubuntu in Docker containers.
3. Frontend built on Hyva – AlpineJS and Tailwind, with custom JS/SASS.
4. Backend development using PHP and MySQL.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
2. Experience with AlpineJS (or alternatives such as React, Angular, or Vue).
3. Willingness to learn new techs and platforms.

Desirable Skills:

1. Experience building from first principles without reliance on frameworks.
2. Understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns to produce clean, concise code.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn new technologies.
