About The Role
The main duties of a Social Worker in the Hospital Social Work Team include:
About The Team You’ll Be Working In
The Hospital Social Work Team is a fast-paced person-centred service that places the needs of our residents first. We have a strong team work ethic and attend the Hospital wards on a daily basis to spend valuable face-to-face time with our residents prior to their discharge. We fundamentally believe that all our residents are entitled to the best level of care and support and work tirelessly with our colleagues in the NHS to support safe discharges. About You
You will have contributed to a positive team culture and be a strong team member, with an emphasis on achieving collective goals and supporting colleagues on a daily basis.
You will bring experience of delivering positive outcomes for residents that you have worked with and demonstrate examples of where you have upheld human rights.
You will have sound and detailed knowledge of legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Human Rights Act 1998 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
You will require a good knowledge of Ordinary Residence statutory guidance and Safeguarding Adults procedures to ensure that you meet the needs of the residents we work with on a daily basis.
You’ll have to demonstrate your ability to work to tight timescales in a fast-paced environment and be able to flexibly manage your day-to-day priorities.
Qualifications:
Social Work qualification required and/or awaiting certificate from Social Work England.
Essential For The Role:
Enhanced DBS will also be required.
