About The Role
Job Title: Social Worker - Safeguarding and Support
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: HC8 £35,235 – £39,513 (plus £5,000 market rate supplement per year £40,235 - £44,513)
Welcome payment: £5,000 after 6 months completion in post
Location: Multiple locations – Ross on Wye, Leominster, Hereford
Relocation package: up to £10,000 available
Contract: permanent

The Role
We are looking for passionate, skilled, and committed Social Workers for our Safeguarding & Support teams. You will be fully qualified (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years experience in statutory social care. You should be confident in managing a complex caseload, with strong report writing skills and experience of giving oral evidence. You will be dedicated to improving the lives of children and families within Herefordshire.
Herefordshire Council Safeguarding & Support Teams
The Children’s Safeguarding & Support teams are based across 3 localities with good transport links. The staff are welcoming and always keen to offer help and guidance. There are 6 teams made up of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioners, and Social Workers, alongside a supporting team of family support workers. Regular supervision takes place each month with an allocated supervisor available for both formal and informal sessions.
