Social Worker - Intermediate Care & Urgent Community Response Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker within the Intermediate Care & Urgent Community Response Team to work full time based in Bury, Greater Manchester.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Main Duties:

1. Service Provision: Deliver professional social work services to adult clients within Adult Operations and/or Mental Health Services as needed.
2. Empowerment: Support clients in maintaining autonomy and making informed decisions about their lives.
3. Case Management: Handle a complex caseload, demonstrating advanced and effective social work practices. Assess and manage significant risks, balancing support with control to ensure client safety.
4. Meeting Leadership: Chair various meetings, such as Best Interests and Discharge Planning. Provide expert input at case conferences and produce high-quality assessments and reports.
5. Mentorship: Exemplify best social work practices and assume responsibility for mentoring newly qualified social workers. Offer guidance and support to junior staff with managerial oversight
6. Safeguarding Commitment: Uphold Bury Council's commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults, ensuring their protection from harm.
7. Competency Demonstration: Show proficiency in the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) competencies relevant to this social work role.

Requirements of this Social Worker job:

1. A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Social Work England registered.
