What you will do:

1. Assess and monitor the needs of children and families, creating tailored care plans.
2. Attend and represent the local authority at various legal proceedings, ensuring the best outcomes for children under your care.
3. Work collaboratively with a keen focus on child protection, ensuring safety and welfare are prioritised.
4. Engage with interdisciplinary teams, providing holistic support tailored to each child's needs.
5. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring clarity and detail in documentation.

* Experience is key in this position. If you have a history of working with children and young families within frontline services - such as child in need, child protection, and for children who are looked after - your skills will be invaluable here. Additionally, familiarity with pre-proceedings and an understanding of legal frameworks including private and public law proceedings and adoption procedures will set you ahead of our expectations. A full driving license is essential for this mobile role, ensuring your ability to visit clients across Manchester.
