Your Role: You'll be instrumental in recruiting, assessing, training, and providing ongoing support to our dedicated foster carers in Blackburn, ensuring they can provide the best possible care.
Your Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively recruit and thoroughly assess potential foster carers within the Blackburn community.
• Implement and uphold robust safeguarding practices to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people in foster care.
• Deliver high-quality training and provide ongoing support and guidance to foster carers.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records in line with agency and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with local authorities, schools, healthcare professionals, and other partner agencies to ensure a holistic approach to care.

What You'll Bring:

• A recognised Social Work Qualification (BA or MA).
• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Proven experience within fostering services or child protection.
• A strong and up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
