What you will do:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of children with disabilities to craft customised support plans.
  2. Collaborate effectively with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals to provide cohesive care.
  3. Manage a complex caseload with a focus on timely interventions and ensuring safeguarding measures are met.
  4. Implement and review Child in Need (CIN) Plans, Child Protection (CP) Plans, and Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) where necessary.
  5. Participate actively in multi-disciplinary meetings, case conferences, and legal proceedings as required.
  6. Advocate fiercely for children and young people, ensuring access to top-notch services and resources.
  7. Keep precise and current case records in line with the Children's Act Apply and statutory guidelines.
  8. Offer both emotional and practical support to children and families, promoting inclusion, independence, and safeguarding.
  9. Engage in ongoing training and supervision to advance professional development.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Social Work (BA, BSc, or equivalent).
  2. Social Work England registration.
  3. Demonstrated experience in a Children with Disabilities or Safeguarding team.
  4. Exceptional assessment, advocacy, and communication skills.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Children Act 1989, Care Act 2014, and the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
