Location: Pontefract, Wakefield, UK

Salary: £30 per hour

Duration: 3 months Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the Children In Care Team in Pontefract, Wakefield. This locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £30 for an initial contract of 3 months with the possibility of extension. What You Will Do:

1. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for children in care and young people in Wakefield.
2. Manage a caseload of young people with varying needs, providing guidance and support.
3. Attend and contribute to court proceedings and planning meetings, ensuring all documentation is precise and timely.
4. Develop and implement comprehensive Pathway Plans for children aged 0 to 16 years, tailored to their individual needs.
5. Conduct visits and assessments, sometimes requiring travel, to establish strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
