What you will do:

1. Undertake assessments and provide social work services to users and carers as required by the council's statutory duties and powers.
2. Ensure alignment with local government guidelines and make appropriate use of resources available within the Group and independently.
3. Participate actively in the duty team rota, handling contacts, referrals, and carrying out section 47 enquiries and child and family assessments.
4. Progress cases within the service efficiently, ensuring the safety of the most vulnerable children and leveraging up-to-date research for all interventions.
5. Lead care proceedings and represent the Local Authority at court, ensuring best practices are upheld.
