Social Worker - Adult - Ad Hoc Assessment in Buccleuch Street (UK)

Earn £45 hourly as a Full Time locum! Midlothian Council is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our dynamic Adult Services team. What you will do:

  1. Conduct detailed, person-centred assessments of adults needing care, ensuring their needs are accurately identified.
  2. Develop, implement, and monitor personalised care plans that enhance independence and well-being.
  3. Collaborate with health professionals, support organisations, and community resources to coordinate effective interventions.
  4. Provide safeguarding measures to protect vulnerable adults, closely following both local and national safeguarding policies.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, producing high-quality reports as needed.
  6. Offer valuable advice and guidance to individuals and their families about available services and support networks.
  7. Ensure all work is compliant with relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007.

Requirements:

  1. Hold a Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England (SWE) or the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  2. Demonstrate experience in adult social work, with a focus on assessments, care planning, and safeguarding.
  3. Possess an excellent understanding of the legislation, policies, and procedures concerning adult social care in Scotland.
  4. Showcase outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with service users and professionals.
  5. Exhibit the ability to work independently, manage workloads efficiently, and make informed decisions under pressure.
