State Forensic Mental Health Service (SFMHS)

We are currently recruiting for a Full Time Permanent Social Work position in our State Forensic Mental Health Service admitted services.

This is a recruitment pool for Permanent and Fixed Term Full Time and Part Time Appointments with the possibility of extension(s). Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made for up until 28 / 11 / 2026.

What is our Social Worker role?

The Social Worker will :

• Be a core member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing Social Work advice and perspectives to clinical decision making.
• Deliver Social Work services to consumers in the SFMHS admitted services utilising your social work clinical practice skills.

The role is part of the Admitted Services (The Frankland Centre and Dryandra Ward), located at Graylands hospital. It forms part of the State Forensic Mental Health Service (SFMHS) which provides mental health services for individuals with mental illness associated with high-risk behaviours and who are typically involved in the criminal justice system.

The State Forensic Mental Health Service (SFMHS) is undergoing an exciting period of change and expansion, and the Social Worker is a critical role within the multidisciplinary team.
