Team Manager
Team: Cared For Children
Location: Tameside
Rate: £45

Tameside Cared for Children’s service is recruiting for an interim Team Manager. The successful candidate will have Team Manager responsibility for children who are cared for by the Local Authority under a Care Order, section 20 and separated migrants. Responsibilities will include line management and supervisory responsibility for 6 Social Workers and a Senior Practitioner.

Tameside is on an improvement journey and we are driving forward practice improvements across the service, with good progress being seen so far, so it is an exciting time to join the service. The role involves chairing meetings, including strategy meetings, personal and child supervision with Social Workers, staff development, risk identification and robust risk management, progressing children’s permanency plans and ensuring robust and timely transition planning for young people.

Hybrid working with minimum 3 days per week in the office and a full week when the team is on duty.
