Job description

Social Work Team Manager
Team: Edge of Care
Location: Barnsley
Rate: £40

This is an exciting opportunity to manage a new Edge of Care Team in Barnsley. The team will predominantly work with children aged 10-18 years, who are at risk of becoming Looked After by the Local Authority.

The team will undertake intensive, targeted, and creative work with families, including one-to-one and family sessions, to strengthen family relationships and reduce the likelihood of reception into care.

As Team Manager, you will use your extensive Social Work experience and sound leadership skills to shape and develop interventions with families that are tailored to individual needs and are focused on improving outcomes for children.

An understanding of the issues contributing to family breakdown and experience of delivering interventions to children who have complex needs, including neurodiversity, and who have experienced trauma and may be mistrustful of professionals and resistant to engage is essential.
