Job Duties:

• Conducting research in the field of sociology
• Teaching social science courses to students
• Developing curriculum and lesson plans
• Evaluating student progress and providing feedback
• Participating in departmental meetings and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of sociological theories and research methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Sociology or related field

Experience:

Previous experience in teaching or research in the field of sociology

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of sociological concepts
• Proficiency in research methodologies
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Excellent organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Sociology
• Teaching qualification
• Experience in curriculum development

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in an educational setting, interacting with students and colleagues. The work may require occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings or events.
