Social Projects & Sector Education Consultant

Planning and delivering social projects and sector education programmes aligned to the Iberdrola and ScottishPower SDG agenda and our company values. These activities will build and safeguard the reputation of SP by developing future and supporting meaningful causes within our communities.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our social projects team you will plan and deliver our social projects & programmes aligned to the Iberdrola Group and Scottish Power’s plans and take overall ownership of client groups and work on own initiative to ensure multiple projects are delivered effectively within timescale and budget parameters. These projects cover a wide range of social, volunteering and sector initiatives and are often run concurrently.

Working with key internal and external stakeholders to educate and update on the social projects and sector education agenda to ensure consistency of message and purpose and encourage collaboration and participation e.g. present updates at business team meetings to outline volunteering opportunities, maintain ongoing relationships with targeted academic and STEM partners.

Promotion of ScottishPower through sector education and STEM agenda to target audiences including schools, colleges, universities, armed forces etc. in line with skills strategies.

Representing ScottishPower and Iberdrola with a wide range of external organisations in the not-for-profit, education and public sectors & regular reporting of project outcomes, including compliance requirements and impacts e.g. Scholarships, Volunteering, STEM activity, internally and externally as appropriate.

What you’ll bring

We will look for you to have well-developed project management skills, highly organised and ability to multi-task as well as proven experience of delivering multiple projects simultaneously.

You will possess critical thinking to understand the scope of the team remit aligned to the Group and SP strategy and translates into local plans.

Key stakeholder management is vital in this position, and you will need to utilise your communication skills to relate to people across a broad spectrum of audiences, from CEOs to members of the public, this will include people and career influencers.

Experience in public sector would be an advantage to understand the frameworks and relationships for our business however not compulsory.
