9 month FTC – immediate start

My client, a premier European-style food & drink brand with over 1000 locations across Europe, is looking for a Social Media Manager for urgent maternity cover until May 2025.

The role will lead their social media strategy, build on their social presence, and manage key seasonal campaigns – acting as a cultural ‘ambassador’ who helps to promote the company and its values.

The ideal candidate will come from a brand, where they had full responsibility and ownership of social media management with proven successful metrics/KPIs. A combination of creativity and an analytical mindset is also important.

Responsibilities:

1. Working alongside the wider marketing team, own and manage a social media content calendar
2. Project-manage ideas and campaigns from start to finish
3. Work with internal and external creatives on content production
4. Manage tone, write copy and manage the online conversation in a positive way
5. Manage the social media budget and ad spend
6. Manage and develop brand’s Blog, its publishing schedule and asset development
7. Adapt a proactive approach to campaign planning, propose new and innovative ideas
8. Work with the wider marketing team to fully optimise purpose, reach and engagement
9. Stay in tune with the latest social media trends

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in successfully managing brand’s social media accounts, including paid ads, channel optimisation, content creation and copywriting
2. Technically fluent in all social media platforms
3. Understanding of premium branding
4. Project management skills and ability to work as part of a team
5. Food & beverage industry experience is a bonus
