Job Purpose

We are collaborating with a luxury British brand to recruit a Social Media Manager. This role focuses on managing and optimizing the brand's presence across all social media platforms to enhance engagement, build community, and amplify brand messaging. As part of the Marketing team, the Social Media Manager will work collaboratively to plan and execute innovative social strategies, create tailored content, and foster authentic connections with the online community. This is a pivotal role that requires creativity, agility, and a strong understanding of social platforms and trends to ensure the brand remains a leader in the luxury space. This is a hybrid role, with a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work, based at the company's stunning headquarters in Henley-on-Thames.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Strategy and Management
    • Implement the social media strategy to broaden brand reach and engagement across all platforms, including Bremont Military channels.
    • Collaborate with the Senior Social Media Manager to support day-to-day operations of all social media activities.
    • Manage scheduling tools like Meltwater, Asana, and Meta Business Suite to plan, schedule, and deliver content.
    • Tailor content for diverse audiences, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and tone of voice.
  2. Content Creation and Engagement
    • Work closely with Creative and Design teams to brief and develop innovative content aligned with the marketing plan.
    • Deliver full community management, including responding to messages, comments, and posts, and fostering engaging discussions.
    • Support brand events by generating real-time, engaging social media content.
  3. Analysis and Optimization
    • Provide insights into content performance, offering opinions and actionable recommendations for improvement.
    • Continually optimize content strategies to drive interaction and growth.
    • Research and evaluate tools, techniques, and trends to enhance the measurement of social media activity.
  4. Cross-Team Collaboration and Innovation
    • Work cross-functionally to support marketing priorities and contribute to broader brand strategies.
    • Regularly analyze competitor activity to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for innovation.

Decision Making

The Social Media Manager will have autonomy over content output in line with brand guidelines. This includes implementing the social strategy, managing community interactions, and making informed decisions to enhance the brand's social presence.

Person Specification

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience managing social media at a comparable level, ideally within luxury, watches, jewelry, or similar industries.
  • Excellent understanding of major platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube) and their respective best practices, algorithms, and business applications.
  • Proficiency with tools like Meltwater, Hootsuite, Asana, Dash Hudson, and Later.
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Effective time management, able to juggle multiple projects and communicate progress clearly.

Working Environment

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday), with occasional evening or weekend work for key events.
  • Hybrid Schedule: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote.
  • Probation Period: 4 months.
