Position Overview: The Social Media and Content Manager will be a key player in developing and executing a comprehensive social media and content strategy that drives engagement, enhances brand awareness, and strengthens the online presence of the MILLBOARD brand globally. Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing, this Hybrid role will require 3 days per week in the office and will include regular travel to installations both in the UK and overseas. The role requires a proven track record in social media content creation, campaign management, and performance analysis, ideally across multiple international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy:
- Develop and implement a global social media strategy and KPIs that align with Millboard's overall marketing objectives.
- Create compelling and authentic content for MILLBOARD social channels and integrate efforts across platforms with local teams.
Define & Own Communications Hierarchy:
- Establish a clear communications hierarchy for social media.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Influencer Management & User-Generated Content (UGC):
- Define and execute an influencer marketing strategy, collaborating with relevant influencers in local markets to enhance the MILLBOARD brand's visibility.
- Proactively manage User Generated Content, amplifying and engaging with positive posts about Millboard.
Content Creation and Curation:
- Responsible for identifying, creating, and curating engaging content across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This involves producing both still images and video content that aligns with brand guidelines and supports overall marketing goals. The role demands a strong creative vision to ensure content resonates with the target audience.
Bring Shows and Events Alive on Social Media:
- Attend selected events in the garden landscaping industry and events where MILLBOARD have a presence such as GaLaBau and Futurescape along with others to bring the magic, ethos and brand values to life.
Photography and Videography for Marketing Assets:
- Attend MILLBOARD installations both in the UK and internationally to capture high-quality photography and videography. These assets will be used in social media campaigns and other marketing materials. Operate specialised equipment such as drones and time-lapse cameras to ensure content is visually compelling and representative of the brand's best work.
Social Media Management:
- Oversee the daily content posting schedule, ensuring that all materials are posted on time, are on-brand, and create maximum impact. This includes managing content flow, ensuring consistency in messaging, and adjusting to the needs of various platforms while driving engagement and brand visibility.
- Oversee social media campaigns, including scheduling, tracking, and reporting in HubSpot, while managing target audience profiles and paid media optimisation.
- Advocate for and implement cost-saving tools to manage content schedules efficiently.
Community Management:
- Take a proactive approach to community management, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in collaboration with the Customer Experience team.
- Foster a positive online environment that promotes brand loyalty and advocacy.
Reporting and Optimisation:
- Track and analyse social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
- Use data-driven insights to optimise social media efforts and improve ROI continuously.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in visual arts, photography, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing social media across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Proficient in photography and videography, including drone operation and time-lapse photography.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess a creative eye for design and a keen attention to detail, ensuring all content is visually compelling and perfectly aligned with our brand standards.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
- Experience with influencer marketing and campaign management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
