Role: Social Media Content Creator

Location: London, England, United Kingdom / Blackfriars (Hybrid)


About the role:

Do you have a social-first and mobile-first view of content? Are you an endlessly creative social storyteller who excels at building creative visual content on your own? In today's fast-moving social media landscape, this is a rare opportunity to work directly with the client's Vice President of Marketing to help tell her story to the world. You will need to be able to travel in and around London to attend high-profile events, panels, meetings, etc., to capture video and stills that you will then craft into engaging content across all social channels to amplify the brand and PR efforts. The client is seeking a high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative professional to help drive social media activities in support of their marketing and home care brand communication goals. The right candidate will be a passionate and creative self-starter who's eager to engage in new projects and get things done. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with the Creative, Strategy, and Social Media teams to build rapport and engage the audience on social media in real-time.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (strategic, content management and creative teams) to shoot and edit social-first content, originating treatments/scripts/storyboards/shot lists and then seeing the content all the way through to delivery.
  • Create video content for TikTok and visual content for various social media platforms, including, but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X, with excellent judgment, instincts, and a sharp feel for the social media landscape.
  • Produce a variety of content including video, photography, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc.
  • Conduct content shoots both in the field and in-office, using existing materials/props.
  • Source and create timely social media content to educate various audiences about key campaigns.
  • Develop engaging social media content that's aligned with Home Care brands.
  • Attend relevant events for the brand such as speaking events, shoots, PR, and influencer events to capture social content.
  • Participate in sustainability training relevant to your role and engage with recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A well-rounded creative individual who is always innovating, initiating, and creating.
  • Responsive to cultural zeitgeist which provides an opportunity to tell our brand's story.
  • Think and act strategically with experience building a long-term social media presence in support of reputational PR efforts.
  • Understand business and client objectives when interpreting and executing briefs.
  • Exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames.
  • Excited about the integration of Gen AI tools and approach new innovations with energy and curiosity.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity – have a bias for action, but an ability to work cohesively with other stakeholders.
  • Passion for making creative content on a spectrum of media platforms - social, streaming, AR, music, film, interactive, etc.
  • Developed extraordinary design, video, and photo editing skills.
  • Well-versed in working with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery - from a collection of photography to short video clips.
  • Familiar with content creation platforms: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite & design templates in Canva or Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, TikTok, Instagram, FB Live, etc.
  • Mastered the ability to turn branded content into a volume of social media assets (clips, gifs, graphics, photos, stories, copy, etc.).
  • 3+ years' experience of social media/content creation experience.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your content ideas and execution.
  • Prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability in your day-to-day role.
