An established industry player is seeking a compassionate Social Care Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Whitburn. 28 Hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, +14% shift allowance

As a Social Care Support Worker, you will work as part of a team on a rota basis (including weekends). We currently have a 28hr post within our Whitdale Care Home in Whitburn.

It is desirable that you possess an SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent; however, you can be working towards this or be willing to work towards it. You should have experience of working with older people, preferably in a care home setting.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulates you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC, you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
