Job Role: Small Tools Fitter
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: £27,000-£28,000 (Overtime Available + Full training)
Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-16.30
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 50 years, have reached a stage of growth where they are looking to onboard & train engineers from either a plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural background to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside relative internal progression routes.

The package:

1. 22 days Annual Leave + Public Holidays / Increasing by 1 day for every year of service (25 overall)
2. All overtime over 8 hours per day is paid at 1.5x
3. Salary Sacrifice Scheme for an addition 5 days annual leave per annum
4. Full training & development with a focus on internal progression, route is as follows: (Workshop/Mobile Engineer > Lead Engineer > Hiring Manager > Site Manager > Regional Manager)

The Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
2. Carry out maintenance and repairs on an array of small tools (saws, drills, mini diggers etc)
3. Complete further training surrounding the wider kit list.
4. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
5. Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
6. Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting.
7. Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance.

The Requirements:

1. Previous experience working within the automotive industry or hold experience with mechanical fitting
2. Experience working on engines would be advantageous
3. Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
4. A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
5. Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in any automotive engineering (advantageous)
6. Open for full training and development within the plant industry
7. Full UK Drivers License
