County Vet Group are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their dedicated, friendly and supportive team. All clinical interests are welcome. We are managed at a local level by our Clinical Director of 16 years, maintaining a family feel where patients and our people are at our heart of everything we do.

Who are we?: Based in Newcastle under Lyme, close to the town centre, we have a caseload that allows our teams to develop! The team at Friarswood comes with a varied skill level, where everyone really has the chance to shine. Where required, we make use of visiting specialists to keep the experience in house with an aim to grow and develop talent within our own team. This also helps keep our clients bonded and allows us that continuity of care.

We have laparoscopic kit, brand new digital x-ray, dental x-ray and lots of other bits and bobs to make day to day life and work up of your cases easier. All supported by an experienced and supportive nursing team. Our wider team consists of cert holders in medicine along with vets and nurses working on their certifications.

Development of our people is important and we'd be keen to support you with any areas of interest, anyone looking at or working on a surgical certificate would complement the team very well. We are blessed to be supported by an OOH provider and have no Sunday or Bank Holiday working.

Our Rota and working options: Our vacancy is currently full time, but happy to discuss part time arrangements. Our full time vets prefer working 4 days a week but we are open to ideas that suit you! An hour for lunch and some admin time is given daily. Our vets do work Saturday mornings on a rota basis. We do also have an option for a Vet to work between our Sandbach and Alsager practices which would offer variety and a good mix of working at different sites with different people.
