Skilled Gardener

An exciting new opportunity for a skilled gardener to join a small, friendly team working in a lovely private garden on an estate in the North Cotswolds.

The garden, which is open occasionally to the public, consists of a large walled garden for cut flowers, fruit and vegetables; herbaceous and shrub borders; both formal and informal lawns; hedging, meadows and an orchard. There is also a large greenhouse, used to raise flowers and vegetables for the garden each year and also to provide pot work and flowers for the house.

Work will be across all areas of the garden and you must be able to work alone and as part of a team. Work will include all typical gardening jobs such as planting, pruning, weeding, watering, mulching, mowing and propagation.

Relevant experience is essential along with good plant knowledge, enthusiasm and excellent attention to detail, completing work to a high standard. A horticultural qualification is also preferred.

The position is full time and weekend watering duties on a rota will be required. A generous pension plan is available.
