Job description

Job title: Sites & Facilities Advisor

Location: Barrow-In-Furness (full time on-site)

Salary: £35,802.00+ depending on experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering planned facilities and service activities in relation to equipment, supplies, installation, refurbishment, repairs or renovation
  • Effectively responding to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise, and managing any resulting actions or consequences
  • Gathering data, updating relevant documents and systems, and maintaining accurate schedules of work
  • Supporting customer relationships by providing one-to-one support, setting clear expectations, and ensuring delivery in line with agreed service levels
  • Following process and system standards in line with business and user requirements. Have a thorough understanding of how to access and apply the relevant Quality and Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) Management System documentation, such as Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, and Risk Assessments related to your specific work scope. Ensure full compliance with all HS&E rules, control measures, and security policies.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working within facilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft - especially in MS Projects

Desirable:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • RAMS experience
  • Nebosh Qualification
  • Auto CAD experience
  • Awareness of CDM

The Estates Team:

As part of the Estates team, you will play a key role in managing leases and rents across the site, as well as overseeing refurbishment works and site-based projects. You'll play a hands-on role in supporting and managing contractors, ensuring smooth site access and close coordination with site managers. This is a dynamic position offering end-to-end project management responsibilities, where you'll be involved in every stage of planning and execution.

We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
