Job description

Job Title: Electrical Supervisor (Water Treatment)

Location: West London

The Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in the successful construction, commissioning, and maintenance of a water treatment plant in East London. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance, and quality control on this important infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical Installation:
    • Oversee the installation and assembly of electrical systems within the water treatment plant, including power distribution, control panels, instrumentation, and lighting systems.
    • Ensure all installations are carried out according to project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
    • Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors involved in the installation process.
  2. Maintenance and Repair:
    • Supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, including troubleshooting issues, repairing damaged parts, and ensuring optimal system performance.
    • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
    • Ensure the availability of spare parts and materials for maintenance activities.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Enforce quality control standards throughout the installation and maintenance processes.
    • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and safety requirements.
  4. Safety and Compliance:
    • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
    • Ensure that all work is performed in a safe and compliant manner, complying with relevant industry standards and regulations.
    • Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks with the team.
    • Implement a strong safety culture on site.
  5. Team Management:
    • Supervise a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and support.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team is properly equipped and trained.
    • Maintain clear communication with the team and project stakeholders.
  6. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material usage.
    • Prepare progress reports and updates for the project manager.

  • SSSTS or SMSTS - Required
  • Experience working within the Water Treatment industry - Required
  • Appointed Person Status - Required
  • FAAW - Required
  • ECS card - Required
  • C&G 2330 or 2360 in electrical installations - Required
  • NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations - Required
  • IEE 18th edition wiring regs - Required
  • 2391 Test and Inspect - Preferred
