Site Supervisor

Rate: £300 - £350 per day, outside IR35

Turner Lovell is recruiting for an international contractor who delivers multiple renewable energy projects throughout the UK. We are recruiting a Site Supervisor with proven experience working on enabling works and associated civils scopes of work right through to (and delivery of) M&E installation packages on renewable energy projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of renewable energy infrastructure projects, secure stability on a long-term project, and work with a world-class, international team to deliver engineering and construction solutions.
Civil works may include:
enabling works, access roads & section 278 works, sustainable drainage, re-enforced concrete, new SGT bunding, foundations, HV cabling, and wider civil works.
The role will include:
being responsible for delivering the scope of the project to time, cost, quality, and safety. The Site Supervisor will have day-to-day supervision of site personnel.
Duties:
- Day-to-day supervision of site personnel, subcontractors, and all general civil works on site.
- Ensure Site Management procedures and policies are always followed by site personnel.
- Have a thorough understanding of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality plans to enact when needed.
- Weekly safety walks and meetings as required (ensuring best practice and highlighting any hazards as necessary). Undertaking toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily point of work risk assessments.
- Produce and implement Method Statements & Risk Assessments.
- Operate to budget, as provided by teams throughout the company.
- Create an environment where teams operate openness and willingness to listen - especially when best practices are being shared.
- Ensure all administrative work required is completed to timescales and compliance.
- Ensure CDM Regulations & National Grid Transmission procedures are being followed.
Requirements:- 5+ years' work experience on complex infrastructure projects in engineering, renewable energy, utilities, petrochemical sectors (£15m +).
- Temporary Works Supervisor, Cat & Genny/HSG47, SSSTS & safety passport tickets required.
- BSc, BEng, HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Project Management, or related subject.
- Willing to be on site 5 days a week / as and when required, in line with project requirements.
- Clear understanding of Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills to be client-facing and lead larger teams of site workers, engineers, and safety professionals.
