Job Overview:
We are seeking two Freelance Working Supervisors to support the Enabling & Earthworks phase of the Sizewell C project. This role requires strong leadership skills to oversee site activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project requirements. The position is ideal for experienced professionals with a background in construction, nuclear, or major infrastructure projects who seek a freelance opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate enabling and earthworks operations on-site.
- Ensure all site activities comply with nuclear safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Manage teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce site safety measures.
- Act as a liaison between management and site personnel to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, safety inspections, and site conditions.
- Support workforce development and ensure all personnel comply with required training and qualifications.
Requirements:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) Certification - required.
- Pre-qualification technical profile - required.
- Enrollment in ILM Level 3 Award in Coaching & Business Excellence (C&BE) - required upon hiring.
- Completion of Nuclear Unit NVQ Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision - within 3 months of start date.
- Completion of ILM Level 3 Award in C&BE - within 3 months of start date.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within enabling & earthworks, construction, or nuclear projects is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
