Job description

Dodington Park Estate is on the boundary between South Gloucestershire and the county of Bristol balanced on the Cotswold Escarpment. At the centre of the estate is Dodington House, an 18th Century Georgian mansion which is currently being used as a private home.

We are looking for a Site Services Operative to join the team. When you come to work at Dodington Park, you'll be joining a team of dedicated employees who work towards the renovation and maintenance of the house and surrounding estate, where we always strive to achieve the highest possible standards of work and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Erecting tower scaffolding structures around the estate for multiple departments.
• Facilitate material deliveries around the estate to service multiple trades.
• Carry out weekly, monthly and yearly checks on a number of different tools, plant, vehicles and fixed items.
• May include operating a road sweeper around the estate.
• May include planning and erecting a fixed Haki scaffolding system.
• General labouring duties on a number of sites around the estate.
• Detailed window cleaning using a high reach water system.
• Using a MEWP to carry out a range of tasks at height.
• Any other ad hoc duties.

Person Specification / Core Competencies

• Qualified in erecting tower scaffolding [but not essential].
• Valid driving license.
• Experience in servicing multiple trades within the building site environment.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Computer literate.
• Professional manner.
• Able to carry out physical lifting tasks.
• Confident communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks.
• Strong sense of discretion, appreciating the confidentiality of the work.
• Ability to work autonomously whilst possessing strong teamwork skills.
