Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Site based Project Manager to join a regional contractor working on several new build and refurbishment projects in the residential, healthcare, commercial, and education sectors across the Oxfordshire region, on a full time, permanent basis.

We are looking specifically for construction professionals with experience working with Listed Buildings.

In this role as a Projects Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects at any one time, typically valued between £300k to £5M.

Project Manager Criteria

• Must have hands-on experience in delivering complex projects, often listed buildings, under pressure and on time.
• You should have experience working with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the project's success throughout.
• You'll need to be an excellent communicator and confident in managing site managers and subcontractors.
• You should also be able to plan projects in detail, keeping things on track and meeting deadlines without compromising on quality or safety.
• Must have a construction-related degree.
• A trade background will be considered.
• Full UK Driving License.

Project Manager Duties

• Youll take full ownership of your projects success, always leading from the front.
• Youll be the key point of contact for clients, working closely with their design teams to plan, design, and oversee every phase of the project.
• You'll take charge of organising the site setup and managing logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• You'll make sure that our health and safety policies are fully implemented on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for everyone.
• Clear communication will be key as you liaise with all stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations while minimizing any disruptions.
• You'll be at the centre of a diverse team, including QSs, Architects, Construction Managers, Engineers, and Design Managers, ensuring everyone is aligned and focused on the same goals.
• Youll develop detailed project plans and schedules working closely with the construction manager to keep everything on track.
• You'll actively oversee the project timeline, providing monthly updates and quickly addressing any issues or delays with proactive solutions.
• Youll work with subcontractors to ensure that both timeline and quality targets are consistently met.
• You'll take responsibility for maintaining high-quality standards on-site, ensuring policies and the client's expectations are met.
