Job description

RGB are currently supporting one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure organisations to assist them in sourcing the very best talent within Civil Engineering. Due to continued success, an opportunity has been created for a Site Manager to join one of their live projects within Electricity Transmission working on behalf of the Grid on a substation.

They are looking to recruit a Site Manager taking responsibility for site security, health and safety, and more. Due to the nature of the project, it's essential that you have SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, and Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor experience.

Daily tasks:

1. Carry out site inductions, Toolbox Talks & Daily Briefings.
2. Prepare daily SSoW and put people to work.
3. Produce & maintain Site Specific Risk & Method Statements.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
5. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
6. Attend weekly progress meetings.
7. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
8. Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the project.
9. Maintain a high standard of documentation and records of project activities/labour including a site diary.

What we’re looking for:

1. An extensive knowledge of construction methodologies within the Electricity Transmission industry.
2. Competency to work in substations 66kV to 400kV inclusive.
3. Knowledge of NEC contracts.
4. Knowledge of current legislation relating to health, safety, and environment.
5. Ability to work within budget and to programme timescales.
6. Ability to work within a team environment including clients, designers, H&S advisers, site staff, quantity surveyors, and estimators.
7. IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Due to the location of the project, you'll also need to have a full driving licence and you must be prepared to travel.

• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• SHEA Power/CSCS
• Temporary Works Co-Ordinator & Supervisor
• Previously or current authorisation to Grid TP 137.11
