Harmonic is thrilled to be working exclusively with one of London’s most entrepreneurial food and beverage communities who is looking for a site operations manager to join its team. This business has a very exciting concept and invites different chefs, businesses and entrepreneurs to provide space for product development and tastings amongst the UK food and beverage community. The business hosts over 100 different companies and has beautiful co-working spaces and the best in-house kitchen spaces.

This is more than just a business but it is a growing community and hosting the best entrepreneurs in the UK. The business is non-corporate, in a great space in London and also hosts events and speakers to connect with wider audiences on topics which will help businesses for the future. This founder-led business is scaling the business constantly and looking to continue to grow in the near future.

Role:

Our client is looking for a driven, organised and collaborative site operations manager who will take a lead on managing the site and ensure that everything is running smoothly. This person should be very personable and be very good at managing both teams and spaces to ensure things are running smoothly, making it a fun and safe environment for any clients that they have in the co-working or kitchen space.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the performance of the site team, including appraisals, reviews, and fostering a high-performing culture.
2. Lead, coach, and develop team members, ensuring effective operations and community management.
3. Manage the team rota, ensuring fair coverage, absence management, and participate actively in the rota. Handle recruitment and staffing levels.
4. Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, HACCP, risk assessments, and other regulatory requirements.
5. Oversee annual external audits (Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fire Safety), ensuring high scores and no major corrective actions.
6. Foster strong relationships with members, respond to feedback, and lead initiatives to improve member experience, events, and communications.
7. Procure, negotiate, and manage contracts with third-party suppliers while keeping within budget constraints.
8. Support financial reporting, maintain operational and financial records, and assist with the budgeting process.
9. Provide hands-on support for public-facing events and bookings, ensuring smooth operations and coordination of staff.
10. Assist in the sales process by handling operational inquiries and ensuring a smooth transition for new members.

What our client would like to see (essential):

1. 3+ years managing site operations.
2. Experienced in setting and maintaining KPIs, consistently driving your team to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
3. Have strong leadership qualities and experience managing a large team.
4. Experience in a fast-growing scaleup working at a fast pace.
5. Past experience working with budgets and have a strong financial acumen.
6. Passion for community and creativity and likes the fast-paced startup mentality.
